Pattern Mapping in Real Life
Finishing projects is weird.
At first- it’s just exhilarating.
It’s beautiful. I love it. My heart is full.
And then, the next day- I panic.
I catch myself doubting everything.
Thinking that maybe I should throw it all out and just give up the dream.
Those are the days that test me the most.
I used to think that on those days – I needed to push harder – or do the exact opposite and do nothing at all.
Both options always left me feeling lackluster in my efforts.
Honestly, I thought that I broke this pattern.
I thought that because I had been doing so much writing and recording and actually publishing all of it – I had figured out how to bypass this part.
But today is proving that isn’t the case.
I finished my Pattern Mapping Foundation Series.
It’s incredible.
It’s everything I wanted and more.
Today, I am not doubting the project- but I am doubting myself.
I feel every crack and crevice where the negative thoughts and feelings are creeping in and trying so hard to take over.
I’ve been trying to fight them off all day.
But they’re there.
And today is different than it’s ever been because today I have the pattern maps.
I created something that I could use when I needed it the most.
I sat down and journaled out everything.
All 5 maps.
The process was beautiful.
It didn’t take me a lot of time- but it completely changed my perspective.
Honestly, it reminded me why I love it so much.
If I wanted to dive in and sit and think on my answers – I could.
If I was completely lost and needed one map- I could start there.
If I know what’s happening, but I am struggling to connect with what I can do to reroute myself – I can jot through all 5 like I just did.
Piece it all together.
Change my perspective.
What I couldn’t shake in hours- I understood differently in 10 minutes.
I created that.
I created it for anyone who’s ever felt lost, disconnected, unsure, scared, angry, resentful – any of the unwanted feelings that we carry around within us.
Every single part of it is beautiful, and yet- I still struggled.
My mind still tricked me into believing things that just aren’t true.
And maybe that’s the point.
The patterns don’t have to disappear for the work to be working.
Maybe the change is that now, when they show up, I know how to see them.
I know how to question them.
I know how to find myself inside of them.
If my mind can still get me now- after all this work – I know that it can get anyone.
That’s why I do everything I do.
Working through these maps reminded me who I am and why this is so important to me.
I created something to help people find their way back to themselves – and today, it brought me back to me.
It reminded me to trust the process.
Each and every piece of it.
