Passive Creation
Every morning I meditate.
I sit and breathe.
I use my sound bowl.
I activate the magic around me.
I quiet my mind and allow one honest question to surface.
Then I write it down.
I sit with it for a beat.
Sometimes I journal on it.Sometimes I go straight into pulling a tarot card.
I follow the flow within.
After I pull a card, I sit with it. I absorb the image, the words, and then I write.
I write whatever comes up.
I allow myself to be present before doing anything else with my day.
I am here, now.
I have been doing this for a while now, and I have to say these slower, meltier mornings have changed my entire day.
This routine has made it so much easier to remain connected to myself throughout the day, no matter what it brings.
I have been feeling more accomplished and clear.
I welcome this change.
Today I am sealing in just how much this habit helps me so that on the harder days, I do not diminish its importance.
I need it even more on the harder days.
Today I pulled patience.
I had asked what I was supposed to do with these dreams that I have been having.
Since I quit THC, the dreams have been constant.
I haven’t dreamt this way since I was a child.
The vividness of the dreams. The ever-changing dance between worlds of good and evil.
The emotion and fear that they awaken within me. The longing for more peaceful times… I didn’t know what any of it could mean.
I have always known that dreams hold pieces of the knowledge that I need.
They have found ways to keep me safe, to wake me when I must be woke.
But I have always struggled upon waking, wondering: What information do I need? What information can I let go?
Before I know it, it fades into nothing. Out of reach from my memory.
Did I get what I needed?
Did I let something important slip away?
Am I doing what I am supposed to with it, or am I focused on the wrong pieces?
The more I fret over them, the harder the dreams become – and the less time I have with them upon waking.
Patience.
Passive creation is real.
Just because I do not know what is being created doesn’t mean nothing is happening.
I must trust more deeply.
I must breathe more easily.
I must let it unfold.
Time is needed in all things alchemy.
I must remember that time is just as important as creation in these moments.
Maybe that’s what patience really is.
Not waiting for life to begin…
But trusting that something meaningful is already being transformed, even when I cannot yet see it.
Because all alchemy requires time.
Reflection Questions:
- Where do you find yourself rushing time presently?
- What are you trying to force that may simply need more time?
- Where have you mistaken not seeing progress for no progress at all?
- What might change if you trusted that something was unfolding, even before you could see it?
