It Gets To Be Me
I’ve been trying this new thing lately.
It sparked my brain in a new way a week ago.
Something that I have thought of throughout my life- but never quite got to stick.
I was thinking about dreams.
Manifesting.
Energy.
And everything that I know about them.
I Breealized that every time I thought about a dream coming true, I pictured something different about myself or my life.
I didn’t see it happening right now.
I saw a version of myself I didn’t know achieving all these dreams.
I felt myself acknowledge the truth in that.
And then I felt it wash it away.
Replacing it with thoughts of who I would become and telling myself that it’s all the same.
But I didn’t really believe that.
I didn’t see myself doing any of the things that I was dreaming of when I saw myself in the mirror.
When I looked in the mirror, I saw a person that still has a long way to go.
I was stuck in conflicting loops of doubt.
Sometimes I believed, but most of the time – I believed I had to be another version of myself to make it all happen.
My belief made that true, whether I wanted it to be or not.
I started thinking about the way I dream, and I thought to myself…
What happens if I get intentional here?
What happens if I connect my dreams to this version of me that I am right now?
Will time collapse?
Will the dreams appear faster?
Will it cause more motivation?
Will it surprise me?
Will it enhance my mindset?
Will it really change anything?
I listened internally and found that this way of thinking was enough to have me excited.
I wanted to know.
I wanted to try.
So here I am, experimenting once again, in new territory.
Instead of picturing some future version of myself living the life I dream about, I am practicing seeing her as me.
Right now.
With this face.
This body.
This voice.
This life.
This version of me.
I don’t have to become her before I can believe that her life belongs to me.
Maybe part of becoming her is finally believing that I already am.
